It's another classic matchup coming off Wednesday night's epic duel won by Madison Bumgarner over Noah Syndergaard and the Mets.
Bumgarner and Syndergaard matched zeros until Syndergaard came out of the game after seven innings. Bumgarner completed the four-hit shutout.
Bumgarner was 15-9 with a 2.74 ERA this season, so it's hard to say Cueto was actually the better pitcher.
"[Cueto] gives us a chance to win," Bochy said. "He and Bum both. They're my two No. 1s. It'll be another great matchup, Cueto against Lester. I expect him to do what he normally does and that's pitch a quality game and give us a chance to win.
