Johnson told The San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser that he supports what president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi said on KNBR on Thursday. (The Chronicle and SFGATE are both owned by Hearst but have separate newsrooms.)
According to Slusser's post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Johnson left his message at that — and did not offer any support to manager Gabe Kapler.
