Good morning, baseball fans!
The San Francisco Giants may be turning off the hot stove for the year sooner than anticipated. According to an article by Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic earlier this week, president of baseball operations Buster Posey had this to say:
“We’ll keep looking. I will say, we feel pretty set with the roster the way it is right now.”
However, per another report from Baggarly back in November, the organization seems to be focusing on cutting back on spending this season.
So any money they save on, say, trading Taylor Rogers to the Cincinnati Reds for salary relief, will not necessarily be reinvested into the upcoming season.
