Bruce Bochy didn't mince words on a recent podcast, calling the Astros' 2017 World Series win "tainted" and suggesting that MLB ban teams from using technology in-game.
Bochy's comments came during an episode of the San Francisco Chronicle's "Giants Splash" podcast that was published Tuesday evening. On the podcast, the Chronicle's John Shea spoke with Bochy, who shared his thoughts on the Astros' illicit banging scheme.
"It was a matter of time before something like this happened," Bochy told Shea. "It really was. And you know what's really sad about this whole thing is they won the World Series in '17, but that's a hard ring to wear.
