SAN FRANCISCO — Former Giants first round draft pick Kyle Crick will miss the remainder of the season due to an injury sustained during a pregame altercation at Oracle Park on Monday.
A Pittsburgh Pirates team release announced that Crick underwent extensor tendon repair surgery on his right index finger in San Francisco Tuesday after fighting with teammate and Pirates closer Felipe Vázquez on Monday.
Crick, a 2011 first round draft choice of the Giants, was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in January, 2018 in the deal that brought Andrew McCutchen to San Francisco.
