— A solo home run by Buster Posey to win the game with one out in the bottom of the 17th inning was the latest walkoff home run in San Francisco Giants history. It surpassed an iconic 16th-inning home run by Willie Mays against Warren Spahn to give Juan Marichal a 1-0 victory over the Milwaukee Braves at Candlestick Park in 1963.
— It was the second-longest game in terms of innings played at AT&T Park.
