The Giants did it again! They came from behind with a late pinch-hit homer to overtake the Athletics and win the game. This time Donovan Solano was the hero and get this: he was pinch-hitting for LaMonte Wade! Only the 2021 Giants can take out a hot hitter and get a positive result. It's weird, but it works. The lineup only had four hits today as Oakland starter Frankie Montas was overpowering. Fortunately Logan Webb was up to the task and also pitched beautifully, allowing only one run in his six frames with seven whiffs. The bullpen was also epic as Dominic Leone, Tyler Rogers, and Jake McGee each threw a scoreless inning to seal the deal.
