San Francisco Giants fans can bust out all of their old “Dodgers spy” jokes about fired president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi now, as the Athletic is reporting that Zaidi is in discussion with the Dodgers about returning to their front office.
National reporter Ken Rosenthal and Dodgers reporter Fabian Ardaya said no deal is in place yet, and neither is sure what role Zaidi would fill. But discussions are clearly happening, with both writers saying that the Dodgers are “a logical landing spot” for Zaidi.
The Giants hired Zaidi away from the Dodgers after the 2018 season, and he spent six years in the Bay Area.
