In February of this year, the Washington Post reported that then-Dodgers director of player development Gabe Kapler did not contact police after learning of an alleged assault witnessed and videotaped by two Dodgers minor leaguers in early 2015. According to the Post, a 17-year-girl said she was "kicked and punched" by two women as the two Dodgers minor leaguers recorded the incident and published it to Snapchat.
Instead of contacting police upon hearing of this report, Kapler "tried to arrange a dinner with the girl and the players," the Post wrote. Later, in interviews with police, the 17-year-old girl reported that one of the Dodgers' minor leaguers had sexually assaulted her.
