It doesn't take much to beat the Giants these days. Gabe Kapler's team has gone well past circling the drain and is now coursing through the sewage system after starting the second half with seven straight losses. A four-game sweep against the Dodgers was bad, but at least the boys in blue are a juggernaut.
You can't say the same about the Diamondbacks, who came into this week's series against the Giants in last place in the NL West.
No longer, as three straight relatively easy wins over the Giants lifted the D-backs into fourth.
