Barry Bonds is the new hitting coach of the Miami Marlins, the team announced Friday. Frank Menechino is his assistant. Bonds was on a conference call moments ago with team officials, and here are three questions asked by The Chronicle:
There was talk of working with the Giants in an advisory role or as an ambassador. Was there ever talk of being a hitting coach with the Giants? If not, why not?
