With little roster news happening for the San Francisco Giants, their longtime archrivals down south have been pouring salt into San Francisco wounds — and it seems to be all that anyone can talk about.
Giants manager Bob Melvin sat down with KNBR’s “Murph and Markus” morning show Wednesday and had a quip about the Los Angeles Dodgers ready to launch as soon as he was introduced. When asked by host Brian Murphy how his offseason was going, Melvin replied, “Good, unless you’re following the Dodgers, I guess, right now.”
The Dodgers have landed Japanese phenom Roki Sasaki and reliever Tanner Scott in recent days, as well as maybe right-handed vet Kirby Yates.
