The Giants haven’t made a trade yet, but the first-place Dodgers - first place by a half-game entering Wednesday - have cut a deal with the Marlins that’s definitely getting the attention of Giants fans.
One ex-Giant and one anti-Giant are going to the Dodgers.
The first is outfielder Michael Morse, whose pinch home run in October tied the pennant-clinching game and set the stage for Travis Ishikawa’s historic dance-off homer that lifted the Giants past St. Louis and into the World Series.
The other guy is Mat Latos.
