Dodgers' special assistant could replace Bochy as Giants manager, report says

Is this a Giants fan's worst nightmare?

Andrew Baggarly, The Athletic's Giants reporter, was on KNBR Wednesday afternoon discussing potential replacements for Giants manager Bruce Bochy, who's set to retire at the end of the 2019 season. One candidate Baggarly name-dropped as a potential Bochy replacement: Raul Ibañez, a Dodgers' special assistant since 2016.

Ibañez, for those unfamiliar, spent 19 seasons in the Majors as an outfielder, most prominently for the Mariners in the early-t0-mid 2000s. He was most famous in his playing career for hitting a bunch of dongs and for uncorking perhaps the worst throw in baseball history.
