Dodgers catcher: Mattingly will win a World Series

Don Mattingly and the Los Angeles Dodgers mutually agreed to part ways on Thursday after the team's season ended at the hands of the New York Mets in the NLDS.

Catcher A.J. Ellis has played for Mattingly for the past five years of his eight-year MLB career, and he sees his former coach succeeding at the highest level in the future.

"I'm confident in two things," Ellis told the Los Angeles Times. "One is that Andrew [Friedman, president of baseball operations] and Farhan [Zaidi, general manager] and Josh [Brynes, the vice president of baseball operations] are going to find a great manager.
