Maybe next year they will have Madison Bumgarner and Johnny Cueto fit and in top form to match up with any rotation’s 1-2 punch. Maybe Mark Melancon will have a bingo number for an ERA (O-something) and more saves than a Coast Guard vessel. Maybe there is such a thing as reverse regression.
Maybe next year, the Giants will stand a better chance of unseating the Dodgers in the NL West.
This season was more about ejection and dejection.
