Day after Giants rough him up, D'Backs' Anderson goes on DL

It's been a rough weekend for Diamondbacks starter Chase Anderson.

On Saturday, the Giants tagged him for 10 hits and seven earned runs in 3.2 innings pitched.

On Sunday, the Diamondbacks placed the 27-year-old on the 15-day disabled list with right triceps inflammation, the team announced.

In his second season with the Diamondbacks, Anderson is 4-4 with a 4.37 ERA and 87 strikeouts in 105 innings pitched.
