On Thursday afternoon, he hit a 2-1 slider from Miami starter Dan Straily over the left-field fence. Statcast™ projected McCutchen's eighth home run of the season at 389 feet, with an exit velocity of 104.2 mph and a launch angle of 31 degrees.
McCutchen continues to swing a hot bat for the month of June. At the start of the day, his .327 batting average for the month ranked sixth in the National League.
