The Giants undertook a dangerous and difficult mission after Sunday’s win over the Padres in San Diego:
Mimic Pablo Sandoval’s sartorial “look” for the flight to Philadelphia.
Dangerous because it remains an open question whether Sandoval, the team’s muse, Swiss army knife and emotional thermostat, actually has a “look.”
Hey, the guy broke a belt while swinging a bat for the Red Sox a few years back, OK?
And difficult because it’s no easy task to pull off this kind of team-building experience on the fly. The Giants were on the road, where most of a ballplayer’s time is typically spent at the ballpark, sleeping, grabbing room service and attending to their duties as commissioner of their fantasy league.
