Can Giants fans handle a lovable Dodger manager?

NASHVILLE - Giants fans love booing Dodgers, but Dave Roberts is a different kind of Dodger.

The final two seasons of his playing career were in San Francisco.

He was a well-liked Giant who played in Barry Bonds’ final season, often asked to serve as the unofficial Bonds spokesman when Bonds shunned the media.

He played for Bruce Bochy for four straight years, 2005 and 2006 in San Diego and 2007 and 2008 in San Francisco.

He’s in the wine industry partnering with Rich Aurilia, for goodness sakes.
