At age 32, Buster Posey is solidly in the wily veteran stage of his career. He's no longer posting an .850 OPS with elite defensive metrics; in 2019, the longtime Giants catcher has just four home runs. As he gets up there in age, some may start to suggest Posey move to playing first base full-time to relieve him of the stress of catching every day.
These theoretical critics may want to take a back seat for the time being, because during the Giants' 10-7 win over the Brewers Friday, Posey showed his arm can still be as good as anyone's in the majors.
