It didn’t take long for new San Francisco Giants top baseball executive Buster Posey to actually deliver on his goal of landing a top shortstop, with Willy Adames agreeing to come to the Bay Area.
According to multiple reports, Adames has agreed to a seven-year, $182 million deal to sign with the Giants, though the deal is pending a physical. (ESPN’s Jeff Passan was first to report the deal). If Adames passes his physical, it would be the biggest contract in franchise history, surpassing the $167 million deal that Posey signed when he was a player on the Giants.
