Manager Bruce Bochy, further addressing one of the team’s most significant issues Saturday, gave Santiago Casilla a qualified vote of confidence after Friday night’s 3-2 loss, Casilla’s second in three games on the homestand.
“He’s our experienced guy,” Bochy said. Sergio “Romo is not here. Do I feel I need to back off him? Right now, no. But, sure, if it gets to the point where it needs to be tweaked, we’ll do it. You saw us do it with Romo,” who lost the job to Casilla in mid-2014.
