SAN FRANCISCO — In less than a week, the Giants’ search for the 37th manager in franchise history will officially begin.
Over the past several months, there have been discussions among front office executives and even conversations involving Bruce Bochy regarding what qualities the organization should look for in its next manager, but the formal process of selecting Bochy’s replacement has yet to begin.
All of the focus during this week’s final homestand is on a 13th-year manager wrapping up his last season with the club, but on Tuesday, Bochy took time to consider the future.
