An absolute disaster of an inning for San Francisco Giants pitcher Keaton Winn had NBC Sports Bay Area broadcasters theorizing that the starter was tipping his pitches.
At multiple points in a seven-run fourth inning for the Rockies, Giants play-by-play broadcaster Dave Flemming and analyst Hunter Pence said the Colorado hitters must have had some information about Winn’s pitches to attack him so aggressively and successfully.
After Winn pitched three scoreless innings to start the game while allowing just one base runner on a single, the Rockies batters tallied seven runs on seven hits off of Winn in the fourth inning, knocking the right-hander out of the game.
