Brett Wisely draws his first walk of the season in Giants’ 8-5 loss to the Diamondbacks

Mike Yastrzemski’s 3-run blast in the top of the 8th was practically meaningless, but it did show that there’s still a bit of life left in his bat. That’ll be important for whenever the team breaks out of its losing streak, which now stands at 6 after tonight’s 8-5 loss in Arizona.

Every team goes through losing streaks like this, it just feels especially bad for these San Francisco Giants team because it feels like we’re at the point in the season where the team’s identity should be taking shape, and if this is it, then it’s lumpy, misshapen, and akin to that scene in the very first X-Men movie where Bruce Davison’s character Senator Kelly loses all shape and turns into a puddle.
