Brandon Crawford came up with a unique and uproarious way to apologize to a Phillies beat writer.
The Giants shortstop apparently sent up a signed jockstrap to Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com for an incident that occurred during batting practice before San Francisco beat the Phillies on Thursday.
Video by CSN Philadelphia shows Salisbury leaning against the visiting team’s dugout rail when an errant Crawford throw sailed into his family jewels. The actual footage is, well… let’s just say it looks painful.
Philly.com’s Matt Gelb posted a picture of Salisbury with the jockstrap, seemingly intended to say sorry for the gaffe.
