Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy caught the (mostly negative) attention of baseball fans on Tuesday when it was revealed that his Baseball Hall of Fame ballot had just one submission: former San Francisco Giants star Jeff Kent.
This is the second consecutive year that Shaughnessy has submitted a one-man ballot with Kent as the only person voted in, and the third year in a row he’s submitted a ballot with only one name (before Kent, it was Derek Jeter for the class of 2020).
Ballot #154 is from Dan Shaughnessy. For the second consecutive year, he submits a Kent-only ballot.
