Seeing Bruce Bochy in the visiting dugout at Oracle Park, wearing a different team’s uniform, was certainly jarring. So was hearing him refer to the Giants organization as “they” rather than “we.” That was rough.

But the memories that came flooding back the moment Bochy appeared made up for any oddness that the Texas flag patch on his sleeve may have caused. He’s the greatest manager in San Francisco Giants history and oversaw the most successful run the franchise has had since moving west.
