SAN FRANCISCO — In 25 years as a major league manager, Bruce Bochy has seen everything in the game of baseball.
Well, almost everything.
“I can’t think of a season quite like this,” Bochy admitted Monday.
Four weeks ago, the Giants were out of the playoff picture in the National League and destined to trade a handful of veteran players, including some of Bochy’s favorites.
A trade deadline fire sale could still happen, but after starting the month of July with a 14-3 record, the Giants have completely shifted the discussion surrounding the club.
“We’ve had some ups and downs, but to go from where we were to where we are, it’s made this even more enjoyable,” Bochy said.
