SAN FRANCISCO -- Despite Tuesday night's second-inning fireworks, which resulted in the ejection of Marlins starter Dan Straily and manager Don Mattingly, Giants manager Bruce Bochy downplayed the prospect of any controversy when facing erratic right-hander Jose Urena on Wednesday.
Urena led the Majors with 14 hit batters in 2017, and he has already hit eight in 2018.
"It's hard to determine intent," Bochy said. "Hitting guys is not as intentional as people think because they assume a Major League pitcher has great control.
