All that changed on a muggy night in Cincinnati, when Snell threw his first career no-hitter in a 3-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds. He struck out the side in the first inning on his way to an 11-strikeout, three-walk gem, throwing 78 strikes in his 114 pitches.
