SAN FRANCISCO -- Jawing between Giants pitcher Johnny Cueto and Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal led to both benches clearing after the third out in the top of the third inning of Wednesday afternoon's game at AT&T Park.
Cueto got Grandal to fly out to end the inning, and the two then exchanged words. Earlier in the at-bat, Cueto threw up and in to Grandal, and the pitch got past catcher Buster Posey, allowing the Dodgers to increase their lead to 3-0.
In the first inning, with Corey Seager on third base and Justin Turner on second, Grandal golfed an 0-2 breaking ball at his shoetops down the right-field line for a two-run double.
