Brandon Belt's epic at-bat in the first inning of the Giants' game against the Angels on Sunday proved historic. Belt saw 21 pitches from Halos starter Jaime Barria -- fouling off 16 -- before lining out to right field on the 21st.
Belt broke a record previously set by Houston's Ricky Gutierrez on June 26, 1998, when he saw 20 pitches in an at-bat against Cleveland pitcher Bartolo Colon.
NEW YORK -- Years from now, if Gleyber Torres develops into the star the Yankees think he'll become, you can go ahead and tell people you remember his Major League debut.
