Oct 3 (The Sports Xchange) - New York Mets ambassador Rusty Staub is resting in an Ireland hospital after having a heart attack on a United Airlines flight Thursday, according to ESPNNewYork.com.
Staub was on a flight from Ireland to New York when the medical emergency occurred, prompting the plane to return to Shannon Airport in Ireland.
"Rusty Staub experienced a medical emergency on a flight from Ireland to JFK," the Mets said in a statement. "The flight was diverted back to Ireland where Rusty is now resting comfortably in a hospital.
"The prognosis is good and Rusty and his family ask that we respect his privacy during this period.
