SAN FRANCISCO–Falling apart is bad enough.
Falling over, as the Dodgers now know, is even worse.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, reliever Pedro Baez fell off the mound in the middle of his delivery, balking in the go-ahead run in stunning fashion in a 6-4 Giants win.
With the game tied 4-4 following a Kelby Tomlinson pinch hit RBI double, Baez was brought on for damage control after lefty Tony Cingrani coughed up a 4-2 lead. The relief Baez provided turned out to be of the comedic variety, as he stumbled during his windup and allowed Gorkys Hernandez to walk home from third base.
