After being designated for assignment on July 27, infielder Joaquin Arias has cleared waivers and accepted an assignment to Triple-A Sacramento, the Giants announced Tuesday.
Arias was designated to make room for outfielder Nori Aoki, who was activated from the disabled list after missing time with a fractured right fibula.
