SAN FRANCISCO — Managers, players and coaches often warn against trying to glean too much information from small sample sizes, but in a 60-game season, patience is no longer a realistic virtue.
60 games into a traditional baseball calendar, it’s too soon to know which players will make the All-Star team and which early breakout candidates will fade from relevance. In 2020, 60 games (and possibly fewer) is all we have.
