Buster Posey will have a few friends at the All-Star Game.
A day after Posey was named a starter in the fans’ voting, pitcher Madison Bumgarner and middle infielders Brandon Crawford and Joe Panik were added to the National League roster.
Crawford is the Giants’ first All-Star shortstop since Rich Aurilia in 2001. In fact, that was the last year the Giants have had two middle infielders as All-Stars, including second baseman Jeff Kent.
Crawford already has a career-high 12 homers with 49 RBIs.
