It’s time for a new series! The good news is that the San Francisco Giants are playing good baseball right now, and up against a not-very-good Washington Nationals squad for four whole games. The bad news is that the Giants are a game below .500, which is when they play their very worst baseball.
The other good-news-unless-it-bad-news is that Logan Webb is starting for the Giants. In three starts from July 10 through 25, Webb was the worst we’ve seen him in a while, giving up 25 hits, eight walks, and 15 runs in just 16 innings, which doesn’t even count getting shellacked in an inning at the All-Star Game.
