It’s series finale time, and I am absolutely imploring the San Francisco Giants vs. the Oakland Athletics.
Luckily for the Giants they’re turning to the pitcher on their roster who’s playing the best at the moment. Webb has gone 11 straight games without allowing more than two earned runs, and in that time has allowed 42 hits, 13 walks, and 11 earned runs in 60.1 innings, with 65 strikeouts. Most importantly, the Giants are 10-1 in those games.
He’s up against A’s righty Frankie Montas, who has a 4.04 ERA, a 3.44 FIP, and 152 strikeouts to 39 walks in 136 innings.
