The San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals take to Rickwood Field in Birmingham, AL tonight to pay tribute to the Negro Leagues, the Birmingham Black Barons, and most poignantly today, Willie Mays.
Taking the mound for the Giants will be right-hander Keaton Winn, who enters today’s game with a 6.66 ERA, 4.68 FIP, with 46 strikeouts to 19 walks in 52.2 innings pitched. Winn’s last start was in the Giants’ 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday, in which he allowed three runs on five hits with six strikeouts and two walks in six innings.
