After splitting a four-game set with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the San Francisco Giants will try once again to notch their first home series victory of the year. This time it’s against the New York Mets, a trending upwards team that has headed to the Bay Area for a three-game set that begins tonight.
The Giants have a slightly adjusted roster for the Mets, as right-handed reliever Luke Jackson — who was injured on Opening Day — has been activated. In a corresponding move, right-hander Nick Avila has been optioned to AAA Sacramento.
