Now this was an election surprise.
For the first time in 22 years, the Giants have won three Gold Glove awards: catcher Buster Posey, shortstop Brandon Crawford and in an upset, second baseman Joe Panik.
They are the first Giants trio to win since Barry Bonds, Matt Williams and Darren Lewis all took home the hardware in 1994.
The winners were announced on ESPN on Tuesday afternoon.
Posey, Crawford and Panik were selected in a vote of National League managers and coaches who could not select their own players, in combination with a defensive index created by the Society for American Baseball Research.
