Another chapter in the 2025 Willie McCovey Memorial Community Prospect List is complete, and we’re getting closer to ranking the top 44 prospects in the San Francisco Giants organization.
Our next name is left-handed starting pitcher Jacob Bresnahan, who has been voted as the No. 31 prospect in his CPL debut.
Bresnahan, who still has five months remaining of teenagedom, is one of the newest players in the system, coming to the Giants at the 2024 trade deadline in the Alex Cobb deal. A 13th-round pick in 2023 who signed for $375,000 (the equivalent of a late-fifth-round pick), Bresnahan has a strong — but slightly wild — fastball, with a promising slider and changeup as well.
