Our 2025 Willie McCovey Memorial Community Prospect List marches on as we seek to name the top 44 prospects in the San Francisco Giants farm system, and the last chapter was a very, very close one, with just six votes separating first and second place.
But we have a winner: left-handed pitcher Joe Whitman, who has been voted as the No. 9 prospect in the system, rising seven spots from his debut at No. 16 a year ago.
Whitman was the Giants compensation round pick in the 2023 draft, used with the pick given to them when Carlos Rodón signed with the New York Yankees.
