The Giants take the first game of the series to push their lead in the NL West to three full games. Logan Webb led the way with a terrific start, out-pitching Julio Urias with six innings of three-hit ball. The Giants scored on an error by Cody Bellinger in the 8th to get their first home win against LA this year. The Dodgers first baseman chucked one into the stands to send Buster Posey home with the go-ahead run against Blake Treinen. Darin Ruf threw out Luke Raley at home plate in the bottom of the 8th to preserve the lead.
