With the San Francisco Giants currently sitting in last place in the NL West with a 40-63 record, they are open to selling at the trade deadline.
While they aren't willing to part with all of their top players, ESPN's Buster Olney reports the Giants are willing to deal both Johnny Cueto and Jeff Samardzija.

One road block that could potentially throw a wrench into San Francisco's plans - Samardzija does have a partial no-trade clause in his contract and does not plan to waive it, according to Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News.
Samardzija made it clear that if the Giants present him with a trade to a club that required his approval, he would not even be interested in listening. (The Houston Astros, who have been rumored to be scouting him, are among the teams he can veto.) He wants to stay, and echoed other members of their veteran core by expressing confidence that their fortunes could be radically different next season.
“I love being here,” he said.
Samardzija's clause does allow him to be dealt to the Red Sox, Cubs, Mets, Yankees, Angels, Dodgers, Athletics and Nationals without his consent.
He is in the second year of the five-year, $90 million contract he signed with the Giants and is 5-11 with a 4.85 ERA and 146 strikeouts in 21 starts this season.
Cueto can opt out of his contract following the season, but has player options worth $21 million a season for each of the next four years. The deal also includes a club option for the 2022 season. He is 6-7 with a 4.59 ERA and 103 strikeouts in 19 starts this season.
The trade deadline is Monday at 1:00 pm PT.
