Yovetich's Big Day Leads Dons Past Tigers

Box Score SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- On a bright, warm afternoon in the City by the Bay, the USF Dons baseball team (26-28, 12-13) got out of the gates hot and held a lead throughout as they knocked off the Pacific Tigers (14-36, 5-20) 8-5 on Friday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

USF was able to get their offense rolling early with a five-run bottom of the first responding from the Tigers' three spot in the top of the first. Senior outfielder Nick Yovetich had a nice day at the plate in his final series on the Hilltop, going 2-for-4 with four RBI helping the Dons take the series opener.
