SAN FRANCISCO - The University of San Francisco women's tennis team started off the week with a close battle against Cal Poly, but came out on top with a solid, 4-3 victory at the Olympic Club Monday afternoon.
Doubles competition didn't go the Dons way when Cal Poly started off the match securing victories at the No. 2 and 3 spot.
San Francisco turned it around when four Dons sealed victories in singles play. Emily Maxfield answered back after winning with a retirement at 5-4 against Kim Bhunu. Maxfield leads the team with a 7-0 undefeated record in singles competition.
